I was feeling naughty while shopping. I wanted a danish pastry. I couldn't wait until we got to the supermarket. I remembered the bakery around the corner had re-opened.

I've not been in to see. I'd seen the sign go up, "Artisan Bakery". So we went to try their goodies.

The door triggered a chime. She appeared from the back ready to serve us. Cakes and pastries on display. They looked OK. She'd tried to do something different.

We got an apple pastry each. While she put them in a paper bag, I had a quick scan of the place. Then paid and we left...

...thinking How Much! They were double the price. Artisan. They better be worth it.

I opened the paper bag. Took out the pastry and bit into it. My top teeth jammed into the syrup. I tore the pastry like an animal... it was like sticky cardboard. The apple had withered away. It was the worst pastry I've had.

I'd been robbed. I will not be going back. And you can guarantee I'll be telling locals about my experience.

Thinking back, there are so many things wrong with this business... not simply the product. They did everything to drive a customer away.
